Common Boas are native to Central America. They can reach around 9ft in length and should not be kept in the average household. The larger boas should be tended to and handled by two people

Suitability: Usually a docile temperament but due to size and strength should not be kept by beginners. These snakes will need alot of space when adult and should be handled and fed by no fewer than two people.

The Leopard Tortoise is a large and attractively marked tortoise, native to Africa.

Suitability: These tortoises will grow to be 2 feet in length and weigh approx 35kg. This should be taken into consideration when purchasing. Large indoor and outdoor housing will be required.

The Horsefield Tortoise is a hardy species native to Central Asia. They are excellent climbers and like to burrow. The horsefield tortoise can be easily distinguished due to having only four claws on each foot rather than the five claws that other Mediterranean tortoises have.
